Write for us

We welcome considered pitches about the language, customs, images, histories and audience life surrounding entertainment. A strong proposal brings one clear question to a subject readers can explore without relying on gossip or private claims.

What to propose

Send an original idea that fits one of our sections and has a distinct point of view. We are interested in close readings, cultural histories, comparisons and thoughtful explanations of how entertainment is presented or remembered. We do not seek celebrity rumours, unverified allegations or promotional copy.

A useful pitch

Tell us the working title, the central question, why it is worth readers' attention and the shape of the piece. Include a short note about your relevant experience if you wish, but do not claim credentials you do not hold. A focused proposal is more useful than a finished article sent without context.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial option. Please include any important sources or image considerations. A submission is not a promise of publication, and we may ask for revisions or clarification.
